Mozart, Martinu, and Brahms

The internationally renown ensemble will perform a program of Mozart's Concertante, Bohuslav Martinu's Nonet II, and the Serenade in D major by Johannes Brahms. The nine-member ensemble is in its 82nd year of continuous performance. Whiffenpoofs in Concert

A rare Rhode Island performance of "the world's oldest and most famous acappella ensemble". The fourteen Yale seniors will perform a full program of their favorites including Bye Bye Blackbird, The Girl from Ipanema, Steppin' Out With My Baby, and the group's signature ballad The Whiffenpoof Song. New England's premier handbell ensemble returns to Westerly for one night only. The highly energetic group of ringers performs on six octaves of handbells and five octaves of handchimes. The blend of musical excellence and visual performance makes this a concert for all ages. The Westerly appearance is the final performance of NER's summer tour for 2006 and a summer event not to be missed. Concert repertoire includes arrangements of Anitra's Dance, A Walk in the Park, Saber Dance, Farandole, and original compositions for handbells.
